Hi, I'm Kristian!

I recently relocated to Kelowna from Alberta with my little family. I am a mom of two and a yoga lover/teacher. I have been practicing yoga for over 15 years and teaching for the last 7. After completing my 200-hour teacher training, I went on to complete an additional 800 hours of training, working towards a yoga therapy diploma.  My favourite style of yoga to teach is yin but since becoming a mom and experiencing pregnancy + postpartum myself, I have started teaching pre/post-natal yoga. I find it incredibly valuable and rewarding to offer. My teaching style is grounded, invitational and accessible. I invite a deep focus on breath and awareness of the body and its feedback which invites you to a place where you can be present, curious and playful.

What is Yoga Therapy? & How is Yoga Therapy different from a regular yoga class?

Yoga Therapy is a supportive and gentle approach to achieve improved overall well-being with the use of evidence based tools and the techniques taught through Yoga that support the physical body, mind, and soul.

While there are heaps of benefits to a regular yoga class, yoga therapy differs by clients submitting a formal intake that helps the Yoga Therapist create a session or series according to the individual(s) specific needs. In either a small group setting or on a one-on-one basis, these classes begin check-in style and invite open communication throughout. During the practice you will move slowly, inviting in presence and awareness as you move through physical shapes, breathing techniques, and meditation.
